Our Mission
"To glorify God by providing food to those in need in our community."
The Chaska Food Shelf is a ministry of Oasis Church. As our mission states, we are focused on providing food for those in need in our community. We partner with other churches, charities, businesses, civic organizations and individuals who generously give of their time and money in order to reach out to those who are in crisis.
Clientele: While the goal of the food shelf is to provide food for anyone in need, our main focus will be on those living in Chaska.
Donations: CFS endeavors to be a self-sustaining ministry that functions with the help of outside contributions. Therefore, donations of food and funds are gratefully received.
Spiritual Aspect: Our ultimate goal as a ministry is to bring God glory by sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ. We will be conversational with our clients without being invasive. There will be no spiritual requirements to get food - all who need food will get it. However, we will make ourselves available to pray, counsel, and care for the spiritual as well as the physical needs of our clients.
Volunteers: Civic groups, churches, youth groups, and individuals who are interested in volunteering at the food shelf are welcome.
